The Department of Human Geography is one of the oldest in Europe, and its recent merger with Human Ecology has turned it into one of the key places in Sweden for the study of the environment. It offers a complete undergraduate and graduate education in Human Geography, Human Ecology and Development Studies, including three Master‟s Programmes: “Culture, Power, and Sustainability”, “Development Studies” and “Human Geography: Social, Economic and Environmental Challenges for Cities, Landscapes and Regions”. More than twenty doctoral students are enrolled at the department.
Lund organizes the second Entitle Summer School, dedicated to the study of social movements. Lund´s faculty involved in the project has expertise on urban political ecology, gentrification and ecologically unequal exchange. Lund´s Marie Curie fellow under Entitle will study the conflict over waste in the Campania region.
