Gabriel Weber is a researcher whose work focuses on mitigation and adaptation to climate change, environmental policy instruments, health and waste management, within the fields of ecological economics and political ecology. He is a Post Doc Fellow under the Marie Curie actions of FP7 at ENT environment & management (Serveis de Suport a la Gestio, S.L.) in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain. Gabriel is participating in projects of ENT related to political ecology in particular in the fields of environmental taxation and waste management. He is also supporting the secretariat of the journal ecología política. Currently he is involved in research proposals at ENT and develops his investigations in the field of political ecology.
His past research has looked at climate change mitigation and adaptation in environmentally sensitive industries, decision support tools for environmental management as well as environmental and economic assessment.
He has a PhD in Environmental Management and Accounting (TU Dresden, Germany), a M.A. in Environmental Management and Environmental Policy (FU Berlin, Germany) and a MBA (HTW, Berlin). Gabriel has previously worked as researcher in the field of sustainable energy and climate protection at Institute for Ecological Economy Research, Berlin and at TU Dresden in the field of climate change mitigation and climate policy as well as environmental and economic assessment in the health sector.
